Tina MacPherson-  Manager

Tina McPherson is a successful entrepreneur and hospitality professional, currently residing in Cazenovia with her family. Growing up in the restaurant industry, with her father owning a restaurant in Hancock, New York, Tina developed a passion for the hospitality business from a young age.

After completing her education, Tina majored in Hotel and Restaurant Management in college, which further honed her skills and knowledge of the industry. In 2008, she started her own salsa business, demonstrating her entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen. Her salsa business became a success, which she eventually sold in May 2022.

For the past seven years, Tina has served as the assistant dining director at Cazenovia College, where she continued to develop her expertise in hospitality management. In 2023, Tina was appointed as the new manager of the Cazenovia Club, a position that she accepted with great enthusiasm..

Chefs Anna & Caroline “From Scratch”

Anna and Caroline, both graduates of Bryn Mawr College, first crossed paths while working at a local coffee shop near campus. Their shared interests in community connection, land regeneration, and good food deepened their friendship. In 2022, Caroline’s family acquired a 5-acre hobby farm, marking the beginning of a new chapter for them. Leaving Philadelphia behind, they quit their jobs and moved to a farm outside of Cazenovia, embracing a rural lifestyle. They spent their first year cultivating vegetables, raising chickens, and restoring the farm property.

Their entrepreneurial journey began with the launch of their own business in December 2023. Collaborations with Loka Leaf Tea Lounge through their Kitchen Takeover Series and efforts with the Center of Grace in Manlius, NY to provide healthy, ready-to-eat meals and snacks have marked their early success. Largely self-taught in culinary skills, Anna and Caroline have leveraged their extensive service industry experience to propel their venture, From Scratch, which aims to bridge local regenerative farms with the community. They prioritize homemade dishes and aspire to incorporate produce from their farm in the near future. Their vision includes opening a dedicated space in Cazenovia or the surrounding area to welcome guests and share meals crafted with intention.

Jonathan “Jonny” Haines – Beverage Expert

“Jonny” Haines

Jonny is an experienced entrepreneur, restaurateur and bartender who has served the town of Cazenovia across a multitude of establishments since 2004. He often asserts that the list of restaurants  in Cazenovia that he has not worked for pales in comparison to those he has. Having spent more than half of his life in the service of others he has gained a name for himself around Caz, a village which he has called home since moving here in 2001 at the age of 12. Despite being a transplant, he thinks of the village as his lifetime home and hopes to continue to grow here.

In addition to his years working in Caz area businesses, he also spent 3 years in Atlanta studying mixology and hospitality, he is a certified Craft Beer Sommelier (or Cicerone), a semi-pro mixologist under the pseudonym of “The Bourbon Bender”, a spirit history buff and an avid Bourbon Whiskey collector. He prides himself in crafting cocktails and experiences with great attention to detail and care. Don’t be afraid to test his impromptu mixology skills should you be looking for something special.

Additionally he spends his free time cultivating his freelance business as a graphic designer and illustrator, skills which he cultivated at Cazenovia College. He enjoys sunny days by the lake which makes his decision to join our team a no-brainer. He hopes he can serve the members of the Caz Club to his fullest ability and really craft a great drinking experience for one and all who come to enjoy their time here.
